Yeah, I made this mistake... A bunch of folks were talking about how well the J-body version of these fit the N-bodies just fine.
Totally not true.
If you ordered the set, take the entire bar from the front and swap it to the back. It'll just barely reach. Then, go to every hardware store in town until you find a set of female-male bolt "extensions" to give yourself an extra 1/8" or 1/4" on either end of the rear bar, which you will install in the front with the front-end mounts.
In short, get your money back if you can. If not, start looking for ways to reliably extend the bolts...

My RSM Racing STB's mounted up with stock hardware, but maybe the vibrant one is the exception.

Yes, actually, it does?
The 3400's alternator tends to get in the way of most strut bars. Notice how the alt sits next to the strut tower?
On the LD9 it's up front and low.

So why did you say it shouldn't matter whether or not the alternator's where it is if you are aware of these facts?

I think I read somehting about the 3400's before 02 work but ones after don't because they started useing a different Alternator.

My Grand am strut tower brace fitted fine, but I had to get longer bolts in the front and two extra nuts for the rear one.
Also, my front bar is pushing on my clutch fluid's tank. So far it looks fine, but I dont know on the long run. If you have an automatic, it should be fine though
