If you can't break into the 12 sec mark why do you need to have an ungovern car?

hopefully that invincible shit still works when i go back to iraq next month, i was goin 118 because i bought the car about a month ago and i have a g-tech pro from my neon r/t. i was tetsing the performance boundaries of the car in stock form. trying to find out the best performance options to start out on. so far stock, 16.77 1/4, 118 top, .78 g's on the skid. this car has relatively low miles for an '01 only 60k

You gotta get a PCM upgrade.

You're not going to hit 118 in the 1/4 anyway

i dont plan on hitting 118 in the quarter yet. i'll leave that to my cbr. right now it is the overall performance of the car from top to bottom that i want to improve.

thats a funny ass cartoon. lol i dont know what to tell you bro. my speedo reads 123 when the speed limiter kicks in but the g-tech is saying 118. it really makes me wonder what the ecu is reading when it kicks in. because the speedo is saying one thing and the tach wont read the same everytime you hit 118 because of hills and slopes so shat is it. maybe the speed sensor on the wheel and the speedo error is somewhere between the sensor and the speedo itself. i also looked it up on my spec sheet i got from the dealer down the road. the dealer can run your vin and give you all the build spec codes for your car, recall info and shit. and the spec build sheet even says "118 overspeed limiter"

no way your car is quicker than a 3400. even a stock one will put almost a second on you in the quarter mile.

like i said im new to the whole alero thing, maybe its the driver, maybe there is something wrong with the car, it also has 20k more miles on it, but the 3400 only has 20 more horses and 45 more lb ft of torque with almost 200 more lbs to push. power to weight ratio is a big thing when racing.

search in the how to's i think there's one there, cut a few wires and such but i remember it also disables your odometer so a bad idea if you ever want to sell it.

edit: here you go

i think this thread needs to be closed as this was discussed long ago and to stop "wtf you doing that for?" questions
