holyshit thats nice numbers for a Quad, somewhere like Spyhunter.
Of course turbo can put nicer numbers, but I just love the sound of my SC and knowing that I could go somewhere near 10 PSI is satisfying enough.

I'd like to know what kind of cash he put into that thing to get those numbers. I bet his motor won't last too long on 20lbs of boost.

not too many 20# boost on the LD9 list. the fact that there is at least one is promising though.

There's nothing promising about it. It's just that everybody with these motors are afraid to get down and dirty.

why is it that 20# is such a feat on our cars... where 4 banger DSM's run 60# all day? and why can our motors top out at said 500ish...when 1G talons can hit 1200?

why do ours "top out" at 500? the eff did that number come from?
there's one on the list putting down over 600... and GM's Eco makes around 1200 hp.. just because it's not on that list on JBO doesn't mean it doesn't exist or that it's not possible
and why do you measure power by the amount of resistance the airflow has? 60 psi through a straw is nothing like 60 psi through a 4 foot wide pipe... it's about CFM

It isn't, people are just too kitty to build a proper motor and tune it properly.
DSM guys have been breaking shit and pushing their shit since day one.
Our motors don't top out at 500ish people's imagination and wallet do. The n-body j-body crowd typically are cheap as eff.
Just because a few 4g63 motors hit over a grand in hp, doesn't prove shit. However, the recipe to a successful powerful 4g63 is pretty well known. The shop I'm associated with has been just short of squeaking 800 on a 4g63 build.
The limitation of the ld9 is cam selection, head selection, a not so simple way to replace the oil pump, having to fabricate everything from scratch (generally speaking) for big power applications. Whereas 4g63 powered cars have a strong following.
