Has anyone changed their MAF sensor with an aftermarket other than Granatelli. If so, who and where to find them. Thank you for help.

From what i have heard the pro m is the best on the market right now because the gra. was not tuned. They just put in what they thought it should be and the pro m was tuned for our motor with a cold air intake.

hey LoudAlero, did you notice any difference in gas mileage after you installed yours? (It's written on one of those pages that the car will require less throttle angle at the same speeds, affecting mileage.) @ $2.10 a gallon, I can't help but think of gas mileage as a mojor factor.
Just wondering.....

Well first thing is if your worried about gas mileage you shouldn't be doin more than a filter but it does hurt gas mileage. If you only have the cai then it should not affect gas mileage to much.

well, i have a MAF on my alero right now from a 3.1 Monte Carlo engine. The MAF's and Throttle bodies are soo similar that you wont notice a difference. The Granatelli i bought is for the 3.1, 3.4, 3.8 tuned to cold air. Ill try it and see what happens

wait....so what happens if you just leave your air flow sensor as stock and get a CAI, will there be in HP difference if you have a CAI and that pro m MAF? :huh?:

Why shouldn't I be doing more than a filter? I'd just like to know if it'll be better on gas. Besides, who actually LIKES paying top-dollar for gas? I didn't mean to leave the impression that I'm a penny pincher, but I have more concerns right now than just performance. I'm looking at drivetrain mods like this one as something that'll improve my car, and maybe save some cash too...that's why the gas mileage question.
