suspension.. help!
So its a bit away but Like june 8th or so my mom is gonna be giving me 500$ and since people say lower my car I need some help. I have a v6 01 alero gls. 4 door.
I don't wanna blow all 500$ but if you guys could post links on what all I need for a full suspension lowering kit. And I don't want an extreme drop maybe 1.5 or less? Idk.
But help on this would be great!
Thanks
Also I recently put 18s on my car with 225/40 tires just wanna make sure I don't have tire rub and all that.
And also when lowering do you need a camber kit as well?

you'll be fine without a camber kit going 1.5", and you can use stock struts they will wear eventually though. I say go eibach springs on stock struts will run you probably $250 or so, check andy's will give you the drop and no need for anything else, bout time you drop this thing hahaha

Well the suspension on the car now is as old as The car lol and to put the springs on I would have to take it somewhere right? (Springs put onto the struts.)

eibachs are a 1.5 inch drop exactly what you want, you could put the springs on yourself just rent a compressor from autozone. it's pretty simple, but yeah if your struts are already worn find yourself some cheap kyb gr2's

I got my Sprints for 80 bucks...I imagine you could run stock struts for a while but GR-2's are pretty affordable too..

The best springs are H&Rs, they have a great mix of look, performance and drop. Also they drop it correctly, not lower in the back like sprint and other cheapo springs. If you run a system it will be even worse....
