Just got off the phone with the shop.
Champion will start next week. All Champion does is build performance blocks. They asked Speed Industry what I'm going to do with the engine and the response was "pound the piss out of it" so they're going to: - bore it
- hone it
- deck it
- wash it
- machine the rods to spec
- polish the crank journals
- deburr and chamfer the oil holes
- use Clevite-77 bearings for rod and main
All for $495, and should be done next Thursday.

See I told you to take it all the way down and redo the whole thing. Are you doing ARP main studs?

I managed to negotiate having my machine work done by Champion FOR FREE if set them up a much better website than their current one.
The machining should be done Friday, reassembly of block should be completed sometime mid-next week I would assume, and then it has to be put into the car. Then it's my turn to have fun again. (sarcasm)

I can try to find it. I found it multiple times before, it is a tough one though.
Edit: Found it.

And I'm just going to be keeping the boost right where it is at 21 psi. Should be enough to make me happy. We'll see when I get track times.

no one has ever broken a stock LD9 crank, nor has ever reported any issues using main bolts..

Good point. With you having it apart, thought you might have been looking into it as a preventative measure.

Shop called, apparently a couple of the brand new piston rings sealed in-package that came with my Wiseco .020" over piston kit are damaged. One is broken in half and another is all rusty.. wtf?

Probably made in China and/or UPS throwing the package.
