4 valve vs 2 valve engines. Also has factory support for performance and a larger aftermarket because it was the performance motor for small cars. I would guess they have an ITB setup available as well.

I love my v6 to death but money is a serious issue right now due to the fact that im in a custody battle with my ex over my son but in all thruthfullness how much would a p&p uim& lim and a 65mm throttle body give me as far as power?? Im trying to get some of my bottom end torque and mid range power back that i lost due to installing them headers..

Unless you pair the ported manifolds and 65mm TB with some ported heads, then it's not worth it IMO. There will be an improvement, but you won't be that impressed with it as much after spending that much money.

65mm tce TB costs about 300$ and i got my ported manifolds from gagt new about 400$

Our ported manifolds are dyno proven 8 whp. 65mm TB is cheaper with adapter and LX5 throttle body, but its not as simple as the TCE setup. Thats worth 2 more whp (dyno proven). Dyno doesn't show the greatly improved feel of driving the car with the 65 though.

yes the lx5 throttle body has a cable driven butterfly,
im running that same tb on my lx9 swap ,
it came out of a olds intrigue 3.5 twin cam

Whats all involved in swapping the throttle body besides buying the adaptor?? Any rigging or anything i would have to do to it? And do the sensors on th elx5 tb work on my motor??

well i used the adapter that came on the lx5 and modifed it to work on the lx9 u.i.m. if your running the stock 3400 u.i.m. you will need to have the tb opening bored out to match the 65 mm tb other wise it defeats the purpose of doing the swap

Ok well as the funds come to be available i will be getting the p&p uim & lim so that will solve that problem lol! Im looking around here a tb but not having any luck yet. I'm gonna just buy the tb first then the adaptor,then the uim,then the lim,then the gaskets im gonna need,then maybe i can build up the courage to change it all at once lol

for a cheaper option go with a 3500 upper and lower combo they flow better stock then the p&p 3400 ones

You have to run 3500 heads to use the 3500 lower. I wouldn't say stock 3500 manifolds outflow ported 3400 manifolds. Its not really important since you can't use 3500 heads with 3400 manifolds either.

Ok i cant have much down time cause this is my only car and i dont really have the extra core charge money so what do you think i should do then?? Maybe run the ported. Lim an d3500 uim and the lx5 tb? Or would it not be worth it? Sorry im just trying to find the best bang for the buck..

Yeah i paid my lawyer but were not sure how its gonna turn out quite yet. All she did was treat mw like crap the whole 3 years we were together and found out she cheated on me too. The only thing saving me is that we never got married. Everyone is acting like she is the victim in this whole mess when im the one taking care of my son and she is trying to nail me for child support
