there is a 5sp rwd trans that you can get for the ecotec I know. it was $4,500 some and a special order only. then you have to fab up the whole rest of the shit yourself. can it be done, yes. would it be bad ass, yes. but your talking about a complete tear down on jack stands for a months and poring ton of money into it for it to be possible. if you do it, and it works, well damn you know really do know whats up.

If you put Jon204 in Utube he has video up of his 01 alero with lisence plate that reads "so epic". Looks bone stock to me....oh he added n1 titanium exhaust

Must be only the muffler invidia and apexi makes the n1 exhaust and there is not one made for aleros they are made for Honda's Nissan's and subarus.

Why not just move the motor to the trunk?? Save you a ton of fab and weight to just build a rear frame and go rear or mid engine
