finally i dont feel so alone... mine does the same thing... i usually just leave it alone, and depending on where i am or what im doing, it usually starts to work again on its own.... timeline always varies though...

thanks for the thread... however, i already had that recall done... my signals were clicking like in the thread, and then i had the hazard switch replaced... and after that is when my signals started having a mind of their own as to when they would work and when they would not work... you put the switch on and nothing comes on... a few turns later, and bingo they are working again... maybe for a week, maybe for 5 more turns... sometimes they go out for a day, sometimes halfway through the first turn they come back on... its messed up...

I was in the same boat as you tw0123, I had my hazard switch replaced by GM and still had problems. Turns out that GM replace my switch with another bad switch. So then I went to another dealership to get the switch replace. So far so good, I haven't had any problems with the blinkers.

do you think they would still cover the part even if the car isnt under warranty anymore? my warranty expired in the summer, and never crossed my mind that it would be another faulty part... i assumed they had the part corrected, which is why they replaced the part in the first place... i might call a couple dealerships and see what they have to say... thanks for that tip though, its worth a shot...

The warranty on the part is 12 months 12,000 miles...so if you're still under that, you're fine. Otherwise, just go buy the part and do it yourself. There's a how-to on here somewhere...its not real difficult...maybe a 1 to 1 1/4 beer job, depending on how fast you drink.

So just to make sure. You guys are saying that the blinker problem has nothing to do the blinkers themselves, right? The Hazard switch is the culprit, right? So replacing the switch would resolve the entire problem?

99% of the time, yes...replacing the switch should fix it...the other 1%, you may have another problem in wires, bulbs, connectors, etc.
