Trunk Latch

I hope this is the right section for this post.


So its snowy and cold.. my trunk lock locks, but it doesnt catch the metal latch piece.. The little metal ring that is along the bottom of the trunk. is it possible that some how it got pushed down, how i dnt know.. but do i just need to pry it back up?

remove the plastic peice around it and pull back the carpeting to see the inside. my lach hook actually rusted off of my car and bent down.

as did mine...the whole plate that the latch is attached to rusted out from the body of the car. hopefully thats not your case, because it was a huge pain to fix, and it still doesnt work right.
