silencer? what is that? <-- maybe a resonator? anyways, how do u like ur pacesetter headers.. with ur whole setup do u notice a significant increase in power? and by dual outlet u mean 1 in 2 out of the muffler?

yeah, its too loud because u cut out the resonator.. i might throw 1 or 2 resonators on.. or just buy 1 long one.

i think i will wait on the headers, but do the whole cat back.. because i want to turbo my car.. have to save up for that.. that will be my last upgrade.. probably 1 year down the road.

its loud because of the header the bigger piping no resinator and performance muffler. you car is going to be louder even with the catback system but not as loud has mine

yeah.. but resonators should quiet it down a bit.. thats all i really can do to tone it down and not buy such a loud muffler

the resinator really doesnt do that much. your catback wont be loud but louder then stock. what i did was get one inlet dual out on seperate sides of the muffler. i dont know how those other guys did it but thats what i did

i have header, catco high flow cat, SLP pipes (2.5") magnaflow muffler.
i actually didn't like the sound the new cat and header gave the car. after the high flow cat is hot then the sound gets deeper but a little raspy til then. then after the header it got more raspy.
i think i got a sound clip around here.

i have the tsudo stainless header. you can get it off of ebay. and, like i said before, the 2 fastest 2.4's on j-body.org are using this header. real gains are seen on the top end, as low end torque is lost with a larger exhaust system. but, you can feel it really pull at the mid range rpm's.
have you read the other thread that you did? or any of the other ones in the 2.4L forum? we just had a discussion about this man.

the pacesetter header is the same design as 2fst along with rksport. just depends on how much you want to spend a 4-1 will give you same power and sound no matter the brand name.
