Street racing is not condoned or tolerated on this site.
Removing the speed limiter is not necessary unless you have the capabilities of reaching it at a legal race track. When you have the modifications to require removing it, you'll know how.

this forum doesn't condone street racing... as a matter of fact... if you post street racing related "stuff" you risk being banned. Just FYI.
as far as the limiter... you'll never need to go faster casue you'll never hit it in the 1/4 mile and unless you planned on doing brake and suspension upgrades... you'd be an idiot for going that fast. anyhting can go fast... it's controlling and slowing down that's the bitch.

welcome to the site, i see you've sign in again but only one post still. don't let initial reactions scare you away. if i had i would have been gone a long time ago.
i understand why you would want to remove the limiter, i'm the same way some people on here just don't understand that its not usually racing when you hit it. kinda like screwing around with a new 09 challenger srt8 on the new highway (140 yesterday and still pullin hard), its not racing just having fun. i've already been through the big arguement and locked threads about it, but if you do want to get a customtuned pcm with it removed.

hey... driving the wrx... i know what it's like to have fun (or want to DRIVE) the point is that no matter what the "situation" is... it's never "safe" to do these things. if you are on a long straight empty highway... by yourself in your own car. go for it. casue the only one you are gonna hurt is yourself. the problem is that there might be a driveway you don't see and at 100+ you aren't stopping when the little kid chases his dog into the road in the middle of no where... and if you don't die in the twisted wreck... you'll wish you did when you see the strain on that kid's dad's face, or the tears streaming down his mom's face when you're in the courtroom. you gotta ask yourself if it's REALLY worth the risk. If you want to DRIVE. take up autocross or go to the strip. or go on a big frozen empty lake. don't race in traffic. and don't go that fast just becasue the engine makes the car go that fast... the alero is not a high speed vehicle. it doesn't compete in 24 hour races in europe. it is unsafe to travel that fast on stock tires and breaks. but seriously... welcome to the site. and know that I understand your desire behind the questions... just gotta approach it in a different way.

it's all fun with top speed until you have a blowout at those speeds, or hit a pothole, or any other irregularity in the road and flip the eff over and die
