interior lights

i posted this a few years ago, and never found a solution.

my interior lights do not light up at night. the mileage is there, and the headlights/taillights come on at night, but none of the dash. the dome light and floorlights come on. i was repainting my trim pieces, and picked up new ones from a junkyard. i couldn't find a piece for the door handle that wasn't power, so i just used that, and hooked up the door lock button accordingly. when i turned on my car that night, all of the lights came on, then faded out.

i've replaced the dimmer switch, tried wiring up the old door lock button, and none of that worked. every fuse in my car is fine.

what could it be? how can i fix it? any advice is GREATLY appreciated.

u have an interior light fuse on the passenger side fuse panel. Theres so many different fuses for the interior light. should be a 10amp one.

holy hell, for two years i've been checking the fuses (driver side, passenger, and under the hood), and never noticed the little one on the passenger side. thanks a butt load richie, it's nice to know how fast i'm going at night (even though i got REALLY good at guessing).
