Transmission Problem

I had my transmission fluid changed a while back and now its doing something weird. When i put it in drive it takes a bit for the transmission to engage. I was told by a transmission guy that its some kind of pressure sensor doing it. Apparently they had problems with this on the Aleros. Anyone out there know anything about it?

i've never heard of it being a know problem on aleros. it could be the position sensor on top of the tranny tells it what gear to go into when you move the shifter, but that doesn't have anything to do with pressures. if there was a pressure sensor bad the tranny should revert to safe mode i would think and it would just always shift at max pres. between gears.

is it doin it every time? i now mine does it once and a while when the tranny is hot but not all the time.

mine does that...i've come to terms that its just something that I have to live with and I always allow time to completely stop between shifting and let it do its thing.

The funny thing is it only does it in forward gears. I don't understand it cuz its never done this before and it started doing this like 2 months after I had the transmission flushed. The fluid is okay cuz i've had it checked at a shop and i checked it myself. Just pisses me off that it wants to do this.

Could just be that your fluid is low.

How did they check the fill level? They need a tool, or must know the procedure. You have a sealed tranny so they might have drained and never filled to the proper level.
