He did beat most of those cars, An engine or two blew up in the process though, but it was done.

Yeah, don't worry, a 5-spd 4-cyl will never get respect here.

well the orignal statement was because i didn't know he was on spray and in his sig he said he runs mid 15's, mid 15's wont beat alot of those cars, my fault

id trade my 6 cyl auto for a 2.2 5 speed

the only one i dont know about is the gtp on spray, but its possible. but putting spray on a gtp is dumb, because bolt on's are easy, cheap and safer than spray...not so on other cars.

Dude I think u just miss interpreted what I meant by puting (on spray) beside the car... I meant that I was spraying for the races, not my competition.. haha I can understand y u had a hard time believeing I beat a GTP on spray, lol

And for the record, I had (sold now) a 2001 5 Speed with the 2.4L in it and a 75 shot of ZEX. 15.5s on motor and mid to high 14s on spray.

With minor mods you'll be toasting 5.0's all day. get a K&N filter, and new exhaust, it opens up the motor quite a bit.

i think he is talking about doing........i mean, even i can't claim really claim boost, because it's not on my alero yet....but it is ordered....as well as some other goodies will be coming along.......

I did, then I moved out of my house and into a SWEET SWEET apartment in Downtown Toronto.

So with rent and car payments it was looking like I would have just enough money left over to breath and maybe drink water.

So I needed a car I could buy outright with my insurance money, and thus be able to go out on the weekends, gas the car, take the GF out on trips etc.

Plus RWD is cool and gunna be hella fun in the winter :grin:

Actually a big change that is easily noticable on 97 GP's compared to 98+ are the side view mirors. 97's have a flat bottom on the mirror and 98 + have a lip on the bottom of the mirror. This was done due to wind noise on the 97's from the side mirrors.

97 and 98 were offered with straight 5 stars or crosslace rims only. 99+ the straight 5 stars became the torque stars and the cross lace was discontinues, 97 and 98 were the only years purple was offered in GP's. The gulf blue metallic was only offered on 98 daytona pace cars then became a standard color in 99 then disappeared after that to be replaced by redfire metallic . The silver in 97 and 98 also changed in 99 to a lighter silver color. 97 and 98 silver was almost a dirty silver color. 2003 the GTP badges changed and became more squared off and not slanted. In 2003 white became an off white color.

Nah I've just owned 3 98 GP's and have been very active member at ClubGP since early 99.
