if the thread is 'exhaust sound' and you say 'sausage fingers' people will assume they're related, or at least ask about it, like i did.

sounds like you're in a bitchy mood and want to blame it on me.
back to the original topic - i have a pacesetter header, stock cat and piping, and a flowmaster. it sounds great, deep and throaty, nothing like rice.

Unbelievable as it may sound, I spent about 3 hours swapping and tacking all kinds of boomcans on the 2.2L, and the best we found, was one of those stupid glasspacks from Canadian Tire.
Its not sticking out of the end on the can, it's actually right up near the trunk box, and then extended about 2 inches, into a polished stainless SilverStar dual muffler tip.
There is no rice at all, it has a nice deep rumble at idle , I havn't come on to it yet, but that's comin' tonight . The whole thing, welded and installed took about 3 hr's, but he only billed me for about 45 mins labor. 200 bucks at a specialty shop.

So does this Pacesetter exhaust work with all 3 aleros(2.2, 2.4, 3.4)?...Thats what I read on one site...Seemed kinda weird to me
Also does the V6 alero have the cutout for dual pipes on the rear bumper?...I've tried googling it but found nothing

Yes, it will fit. But it will not sound good on any 4-cylinder car.

Nope. All Aleros come with a single bumper cutout on the driver's side.
