There was a huuuuuuuuge car show on campus tonight and they had closed off one of the freshly repaved roads so that people could race if they wanted. Cops were there to make sure it stayed on the closed road. It was odd though, because it was a half mile track to run on.
I did about 15 runs, won 9 of them. I smoked an older honda, a neon, and a mustang. Granted the mustang was an 80 something or another piece of rusted out junk and probably only had 130 horsepower coming out of that abused 5 liter engine. But I can say I beat a 5.0, so shut your mouth.
I got utterly destroyed by an SRT-4, a 300zx, and most embarassingly, a ford f-350. But the F-350 was a seriously pimped out diesel, so I took it in stride. I think he got up to 130+mph.
Everyone seemed to like my stereo at the show, which I'm somewhat glad got noticed seeing the amount of moolah I put into it.
Then after the racing was done, they had a burnout competition. I won best front wheel drive burnout, which was a $50 gift certificate to Firestone as a prize. Gee....thats good, discount on tires, haha. Nah, my tires hold up great. The F-350 that smoked my ass on the track also laid down the NASCAR style victory burnout. I was drooling heavily when that happened.
So....that was my night. After the show got over at 9, I parked my car and walked over to a frat house to partake in the consumption of some beverages that come in strange metal containers.
Not a bad way to take my mind off the crap I'm going thru, wouldn't you say?

Not bad.
Although street racing's against forum regs, since the cops were there to monitor and control it I guess this type is okay. I just hope that doesn't instigate folks into thinking racing on the streets is normally okay.

Love to see them try. I made sure I took off my parking pass before the show so they didn't know what garage I parked in, and more importantly, what floor.
Can't get into my trunk anyways unless you started cutting crap up, so....don't get any ideas.

For some reason, I don't think he'd be driving from North Carolina to Missouri for a stereo.

I was talking about people in general. It would take quite a bit of effort to get my stuff.
