I took my Geo to the track the other night to see what it could run in the ¼ mile I must say that I’m extremely happy with the results. I have time slips but no scanner so I’ll type them out the best I can.
My first run:
Reaction: .599
60ft: 2.505
330ft: 6.809
660ft: 10.389
1000ft. 13.574
ET: 16.265
MPH: 84.11
After I got used to the cars reactions and messing with the distributor a little bit.
My best run:
Reaction: .800
60ft: 2.513
330ft: 6.655
660ft: 10.010
1000ft: 12.932
ET: 15.398
MPH: 91.39
It was funny as hell seeing all the Honda and Neon kids wondering how the hell a Geo was beating them.

It's got a 1.3L DOHC cam engine, 2" exhaust and a cone filter. Tires are horribly out of balance and torque steer is a son of a bitch but it's by far the funnest car I've ever drove.

Odd that your 60-foots slowed way down yet your top end picked up so much. A little tire spin off the line? And does your slips give mph at any other interval besides top end?

I get wheel spin like crazy on the car. With that motor it has to be over 3500 RPM to get good power but I can rev all the way to 8600 RPM before valve float starts. First gear is 3.416, second 1.894, and third is 1.284. First is good for nothing but to get you in the power band quick so I can stay in the power band more efficently.
It has some other MPH's that I'm assuming were at 660 ft. The first run was 67.41 and my best run was 73.53.
