Spark Plugs for Alero 2.4 Wrong?
I have a question for you guys. In my manual for my 01' 2.4 alero mt, it says the plug number is 41-942 yet when I use AC Delco parts catalog or call GM, they say that it is 41-963?? Does anyone know the difference between the two? There both platinum, and I dont know which ones to get, the ones the book calls for or the suggested ones from GM?

probably fixing to be obsolete i know most auto stores still stock the 41-942. by application the 41-963 is what it calls for. either one will work.

I replaced my stock plugs with Bosch Platinum Ir Fusion plugs (part # 4504) on my LD9. No need to worry about the gap!

you may or may not have issues with the boschs. it seems about 50/50 on this site. i know i had them in my ld9 for about half a year, and i had rough idle and hard starting problems. swapped over to whatever the acdelco equivalent is and no issues for over a year.

Yeah Bosch is not the plug to use on a distributorless GM ignition system.

Get some ACDelco RapidFires. Don't even bother with any of that "aftermarket" crap.

ACD or NGK, they are pretty much the same thing. don't bother with anything else.
