Just started on here!
Hey guys!
As soon as I saw this website I KNEW I had to sign up.
Well this is my first thread and I'm going to put up pictures and stats about my Alero soon. Just keep looking for my threads.
Yes I know I'm only 14 but my car has already been decided for me (by my Dad) and sooner or later it'll be mine. He's fixing everything on it so when I get it it's not a heap of crap in a few years. We needed two new wheel bearings, a new control arm, a new headlight mount, a radiatior flush, a new power steering pump, and I don't want to even think of the interior! It's been acting crazy ever since we bought it. The dealer was a jackass to us ever since we got it, too! NEVER, EVER BUY A CAR FROM WHITESIDE'S IN ST. CLAIRSVILLE, OHIO UNLESS YOU WANT HORRIBLE SERVICE!
Well I'm going to put up an official post after this called "Chevrolet Alero?" so look it up!
Laterz

You have a Chevrolet Alero?
The european Version?
If so, I'm going to be jealous.

Nope! It's a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero. Actually, I detest Chevrolet Aleros. Just check out my other posts and look for "Chevrolet Alero?"

chevy alero's are the same as olds alero. they were just rebadged as "chevy" since olds had no background/rep in europe.
welcome.
and you better be out there helping your father.... best to learn young how to work on cars. you'll save yourself THOUSANDS of dollars, and alot of anal rapage, if you know how to do this yourself.

Well... actually... I did alot more than him in some cases... Like I replaced the driver side window motor... without him! Somehow he just couldn't "Get to it"

1) use the edit button. multi-posting FTL.
2) need more people? for what?? we have 5k members... i'm confused.
3) Your tiny hands could reach the motor easier. I don't blame him.
4) Something to keep in mind. The car was assembled from parts. Therefore, it logically comes apart. There are only a few things on the planet that are made that aren't suppose to come apart, and they are born. Not to mention, with some skill... they still DO come apart.. trust me.

Yup... It's mine! (Or at least officially when I turn 16)
I might be the youngest member! I'll have to look into that...

means nothing to you? it means don't keep posting, when you were the last one posting. Hit the "edit" button, and post what you were going to.. instead of having multiple separate posts.

I responded to your newbishness in your other thread, but also you do not have a 2000 alero with an ecotec. You either have a different year or a different motor.

I'm not sure but it's a 4 cylinder. I'll put the details up later.

First of all, Welcome to the site!
Secondly, that "jibbrish" Cherrington posted was in reference to posting more than once in a row. If you see something else to respond to, and you were the last post in the thread, just hit the edit button on bottom right of the post box and include it there. No reason to only reply to one person per post.
Also, if you have a 2000 Alero with a 4-cylinder, you would have the 2.4L LD9 motor. Later years had the 2.2L Ecotech.
