its time for my alero to get a brake job all around, my uncles gonna teach me but what all do i need to pick up at the autozone
everyone seems to think duralast is great, is that what i should get

Yes Duralast Gold.
They warrant the actual pad. So when the pads wear out, you get brand new ones under warranty. I believe theya re the only store doing this!

get braided lines too while your at it and if you wanted to paint up your drums and calipers.

i've heard the bleeder's on the drums can be a biotch to get loose. this pretty standard? is there any certain trick to getting them loose?

Why do you need to bleed them?
Personally... If you got drums in the back I would get the parts to do a swap for disc.
Drums = ancient history

my drums aren't bad... i need to bleed all 4 corners to make sure my pressure is accurate, and my master cylinder isn't shot.
