should i replace my battery soon?

so my battery is about 5 years old (august '06). my car starts with no problem, and doesn't seem like the battery is weak, but seeing as it's getting old, i was wondering if i should replace it.

sidenote, i can't find the manufacturer of my current battery, PowerVolt ?? does anyone have any information on them?

spend the money and get a optima battery red or yellow top. Also XS power batteries are good to.

You could go get your battery tested to see if it's cold crank amps are still in a decent range.

Also, its not a bad thing to replace your battery for preventive measures.. I remember when my battery was going to crap, I was home alone with no one to boost my battery for a couple of hours and I needed to be somewhere.. It really sucked lol.

I've been hearing a lot of bad things about Optima Batteries lately. Mine was 6 years old and still working great, until the great Halloween vandal that crapped out my battery and starter in one shot

I currently have an "Autocraft" battery in both my cars. Pretty decent battery

The red tops have gown the shitter recently. Yellowtops still got it though from everything iv heard from local parts stores. I'm dropping in a yellow top myself as soon as mine craps out. I expect it will this winter...
