is there any other cat back exhausts out there for the 2.2l ecotec aleros besides the pacesetter?

I think any exhuast will bolt up. So if you can find one you want listed for the 3400 it should bolt up. So you have the SLP and the Borla to name the 2 I know off right off the top of my head.

Nope, the factory exhaust systems after the converter are all identical. My exhaust was originally on a V6.

exactly right, of the few exhaust systems marketed for the alero many of them say they're only for the 3400, but they work on both. Some of these systems do have dual pipes however, which will require you to cut your bumper a little to make things perfect. Also, don't forget that an exhaust for a similar model grand AM will also work

Or go to a performance shop and get one fabbed through them. That's what I will end up doing whenever I get some money.

^^ the only thing i will say is go to a guy who you know and trust if you go the custom way.......i had a guy do mine custom and now, looking back, i wish i hadn't because he was a freaking dope
