problem starting car

hope someone can help me with this..

I went to start the car today and nothing....no lights on in the dash at all...Dead....I tried a couple of times..giggled the key...nothing....I check if it was in park....it was....still nothing....then with the key on I shifted out of park....voila dash lit up and I was able to start the car. the same thing happened to my earlier this morning and it eventually started....not sure what shed did to get it to start.

When the car started I noticed that the clock was reseted...but other that that ...no problem....I stoped the car and restarted a few times after that with no problems
