Suggestions for this exhaust

Was at a scrap yard the other day checking out the crappy selection of alero's and came across this dual magnaflow cat-back system sitting on a 99 cavalier z24.

Link to the exhaust: http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...one=all&id=206

Downside: One muffler on it is completely trashed, bottom is all dented in and theres a big hole right at the edge before the tip.

Upside: They only want $60 (including them cutting it off)

If i was to throw this on (with my intake) would it have that extremely high pitch sound like those civics everyone wants to throw stuff at? I dont mind buying a new muffler but don't want my car to sound high pitched.

Any opinions/suggestions welcome!

Don't know if it will fit, might have to get some more piping but that's easy enough.

It's only 2.25 tubing, isn't the size of the stock exhaust?

Replacing that muffler and repairing the hole, you're still WAY under the $982.80 price tag

I say if the tubing is larger, go for it. It's been so long since I had stock exhaust, IDK what stock size is. 2 inch?

Stock is 2in I believe, both the dent and the hole is in the end of the muffler so if I just replaced the muffler the system would be perfect

I just don't want to sound like a lawnmower haha

Go for it, you'll be very happy with the sound. The single tube is a little less than ideal but the Y helps a lot. You end up having a slower flow through each side and with the larger outlets it'll keep the tone low. It will still sound like a 4-cylinder engine no matter how much you spend.

Tip - get as close to the same muffler as you can find so that the flow stays balanced
