This is the right one
'88 - '04
2.8, 3.1 MPFI and 3100, 3400 SFI
$109.99
There should be no negative affects, and they are worth it if you wanna get every inch of HP out of your car. You may also wanna check out the RSM Racing ones, I know Redog just put some on his car.

Its as easy as loosenig up any tensioners or alternator and taking the belt off, then unbolting the old pulley and putting on the new and putting the belt back on and tightening it up to spec.

I just put mine on, well my mech did, about a month ago and the car revs higher and quicker. You tap the gas and it goes

the one you posted is lighter, and underdrives your accesories. so the rest of your accessories will run slower
the rsm is even lighter, but doesn't underdrive accessories.
so they both most likely yield the same benifit as far as performance goes. some say the RSM is to light, and likely to wear the engine faster. our engine is a balanced engine, but because of manufacturing defects its not perfect, the crank pully acts as a dampner. since the ffwd one underrives other components, you will get a little less from your alternator (ONLY at idle) and nothing else to mention
i personally would like the ffwd one.

I've got the FFP one on my 3400, i got it when they first came out (was one of the last pre-orders). I don't know if it's been fixed yet, but i had to file the keyway opening for it to fit right on mine. Unfortunately i don't know the performance increase, since i didn't drive it beforehand.

so what im gathering from this is that since i have a rather large stereo i should not buy the ffp since it will underdrive my alternator putting a larger strain on it and the battery. And the other pulley will not do this but it will wear the engine out sooner. did i sum everything up correctly? and how much life will the other pulley approximately take out of the engine? thanks guys.

it really depends on how out of balance your engine is to begin with, manufacturing defects....
the ffp one ONLY hurts your alternator ouput below 1000 rpm. no effect above 1000 rpm. since above that the alternator has the potential to put out much more than its stock rating if it wasn't regulated (obviously the higher the rpms the faster the alternator spins, its directly driven off the crank)
if you have a big system you need a upgraded alternator anyways. ive got a smaller system and i get dimming at idle. 800watt rms amp, running about 500-600watts rms.
how's your dimming now? if its not to bad, you'll be ok with the ffp. if its already really bad, you might as well upgrade the alternator anyways.

there is no dimming at the moment since i put an optima red top in the trunk as a capacitor. I am running 2 alpine 500 rms amps with that optima in line on the wiring between the main battery and the amps. do you guys think that the ffp would be hard on my alternator if i dont change anything else?

no, it will be fine, especially if your getting no dimming now. to many people buy a cap to get rid of dimming, only to find out it hardly does anything, except overall hurt there stereo, getting a good battery is the way to go. my rear sits lower then the front already, so i would put the battery under the hood in my car, but there may not be enough room depending on which one you get
i get VERY VERY slight dimming of my halo's when driving, and noticible dimming at idle if its up
get it and let us know how you like it! ive heard good things on grandamgt.com

lightweight pullies do way less than underdrive pullies
the pulley in question is also a dampner, if you make it too light you take away all dapening abillity. FFP made theirs on the heavy side for this reason.
Aslo if your worried about the alt. talk to FFP. I know he has some smaller alt pullies available but not on his website.
