Trans flush isn't mandatory.
They recommend having it checked; if necessary, then flush it. But not mandatory :P

Over 54000 miles and my only problem has been an accident. Although I did change to split fire plugs and they suck, looking for stock ones until I Get the MSD ignition system. I am getting a lot of suspense roll though. I think it is time to upgrade to a lowering kit.

Thats pretty much it. I did my trans filter every 15k or so (only because it only changes less than half the fluid), oil every 3k, fuel filter every 15k when I did the trans filter.

Plugs are 100k on most late model fuel injected cars.
I only did the fuel filter and transmission filter every 15k because once I got the car in the air, I might as well do both. You can do 30k or even 50k, but I do everything way ahead of schedule.

Brakes have nothing to do with mileage, if all the driving you did was highway then you might never have to replace your brakes, other than inspections and resurfacing. But in the city, you might be doing the front brakes every 10k.
Spark plugs are supposedly good for 100k on newer cars, doesn't mean they always will last that long tho. But you're not going to cause any damage by not replacing them early, its not preventative maintenance like fluids and filters.

I change my spark plugs quite often... few times a year maybe.
I've heard fuel filter every 30k is the norm. My car has 196,000 on it and I'm not sure if the fuel filter was ever changed. I have a new filter but not sure when I'll put it in.

You lazy bastards.
Fuel filter = < $10 with easy labor
Fuel pump = > $200 with alot of labor
On the alero, spray the bolt side of the filter with penetrating oil or wd-40. Use a 5/8 open end wrench and a 20mm open end wrench, or use 16mm and 20mm filter line wrenches that are FREE TO RENT AT AUTOZONE, lol. Plastic clip side of the filter pries off with a flathead screwdriver.

Theres plenty of room. You only have to get a few turns in to change it. I can do a fully rusted out filter in 5 minutes or less, a new one probably 1-2 minutes.
