I bought a set of Performance Friction brake pads with my powerslot rotors from PFYC. I had all 4 corners done at the same time at a brake shop. This was about 5 or 6 months ago. They worked fine until about a week ago when I started noticing a grinding noise. Not squealing, grinding. It gradually got worse over the week and I took it into the same shop today. They were shocked that the outer pads on the front had almost completely worn away! In 5,000 miles the pads were gone!! issed: I'll never buy those piles of crap again.
Anyone else have issues with them?

I installed my PFCM brake pads about a year ago and have almost 18,000 miles on them. I haven't had any problems with them but I've got just the basic Brembo Rotors.

bro , the same thing happened with my alero , i dont think iuts your brake pads , it happens in almost all alero's , is the grinding noise only when you take a turn? like when i make a right or left turn at like 90 degrees my car goes rrrrrrrrrrrruaaaaaarurrrrr , i was told it was because "the stock alero rotors warp" but i have all new rotors on my car with new brake pads and my car still does it

let those rotors rub your fingers for 5,000 miles and see if you can figure out why your pads wore out fast. Not for sure or anything, but just a thought.

wow, heh, I had carquest rotors and pads on for, umm, 70,000 kms now.
They may be getting close to worn down.

I can't believe the money you all put out on brakes.

wow. Sounds like you have a stuck caliper. I've had these pads on my car for over a year and 20,000 miles with no problems. Dust is a bit more now, but I think they are good pads.
