Thumbs up

So, i found some throttle body cleaner in my garage today that i forgot i bought. Basically, you just disconnect the air intake after the mass airflow sensor and the filter, turn your car on, and spray the stuff in for 10 seconds while revving the engine, and then let it just idle for 10 seconds, it says on the label to use the entire can. However it was taking forever, so i used maybe a little under half. Has anyone tried this before? and most of all had any results? I didnt really notice anything, well, actually, i did notice that after when i was sitting at a stoplight my engine was so quiet i thought it died on me, but maybe that's just me. Anyone else have anything to say about this stuff? .........i kinda figure it's like fuel injector cleaner, it works a little when the stuff is really gunked up, but otherwise its a waste of money.

No, it works. esp with a WAI/CAI, my TB gets pretty dirty after a while, and it will clean out the IAC too.

yeah this stuff will clean up the TB but really has no performance gains, just cleans the crap off the TB.

depends on how dirty it is in there, i noticed performance and throttle response gains on my last car, but it most likely had never been cleaned and had 135,000 miles of buildup....LOL
