there have been group buys for slp exhausts befor but other than that..... group buys dont work out real well on here.
u have to remeber for the most part this site is made up of alot of kiddies that say they can afford something..... but when its time to put up the money they suddenly dont have it.
so the groupbuy never ends up working out for the most part and is just a waste of time. but good question. and there are group buys here and there...... just usually nothin over $100

there is a how to on how to build ur own cai for about $50. its nearly identical to all the other ones u will pay nearly $200 for.
its in the how to section. if u can handle a grinder or a hacksaw or dremel its very easy to do. pm me if ya have any questions about it.
as for exhaust goin to ur local shop is the best thing to do. i had my complete system done for $250.

We have successfully done group buys for HID conversions, gauges (4x so far, and around 100 sold in total), SLP catbacks, TOG Headers (in conjuction with gagt.com), decals, etc. In general, group buys work well with inexpensive things.
We have failed on attempts for hoods, fenders, bodykits, and diecast alero models.
Generally, the more expensive the item, the less likely for success there is.

though from what i remember, the diecast model group buy didnt fall apart because of lack of interest or participation, I believe there were other issues - shady business people...

Yes... we had to sue to get our money back. I still call it a failure, even though it wasn't our fault. That would have worked if that clown didn't rip us off.

the header group buy turned out but I wouldnt really call it a success
I think everyone was happy but it drug out to get that many people
the slp exhaust group buys have worked very well.
in fact they are trying to set up another one on gagt.com
stb's are a possibillity when my new bars are released.
it may be more of a pre order special like what was done on the underdrive pullies when they released from ffp

I would do STB's (but I only need the back) or even struts.
