Finally got my L7s installed in the Geo. Thought I'd share some pics. They're in a 6.5 cubic feet box tuned to about 40 Hz. I ordered a 1200 watt Viper amp to put on them but right now I'm just using a Directed 600D. They get loud as f*** now can on ly imagine what it's going to be like with double the wattage.

Depending on whether or not my new amp comes in. The directed keeps drawing to much current and goes into protect mode.

They hit hard as hell but yes they do sound like poo. I wasn't going for sound quality though.

There is a Geo near home that is just sick,
like 9 12" that take up the entire back and hatch, the rear windows are actually part of the box, the rest of the car was gutted, rewelded all the joints, and then a 1/4" truck bed sprayed all over the inside of the car. CRAZY

It' is freaking loud with just the 600 watts can't wait to give it more. And on that note I got an e-mail from ikesound today telling me they were out of the Viper 1200.1 so they're sending me an Orion XTR 1000 Pro instead. Best news I've heard in a long time.

ya, some like it ear bleeding loud. i used to, still kind of do. only i really dont like to listen to it loud anymore if that makes sense. I'd prefer ear protection considering i officially have noticable hearing loss and im 22. I still gotta have a little bass, and I still want to do an SPL van someday...

anyways, more power to ya jamcllw, and happy bassin'. Let me know what it hits when ya get it metered. im damn curious.

Do you have any more pictures of your system? Ie head unit, interior speakers?

Just curious to see what all you can do with that selected amount of space..

Props on the setup. Just wish you oculd post an audio sample here.

Is it a pain to get to your spare? :P
