Where can I (Where did you) place the crossover:?

and did you do anything about the insulating plastic?

I just put the crossovers in the door with some double sided sticky tape and just left the plastic where it was

Place the crossover in the door panel with double sided tape. It should be able to squeeze in between the styrofoam. Just put electrical tape around all metal terminals when finished to prevent moisture from corroding them.

I figured I'm gonna spring for some dyanmat to replace that plastic. I think I'm still gonna tryin find a place in on the door itself to mount it.

Like mikegett said I found the easiest place to put the crossover to be the door panel. The infinity kappa crossovers were to big to fit between the styrofoam so I ended up cutting out a small section of the inner portion of the styrofoam and then slide it down into the opening. The nice thing is that when done about 85 % of the crossover is held perfectly in place by the styrofoam so I only had to use electrical tape on the very top portion to ensure it doesnt slide out.

As for the plastic, I have been very lazy on dynomatting my car (over a year) but I intend to rip all the plastic out and cover with the dynomat at some point. Will serve the same purpose of protecting against water.

If you plan on mounting behind that plastic, it's not a rough job.

You can salvage the plastic, the black adhesive is tacky enough to seal back up with the plastic. It takes a very long time to harden, years upon years.
I intend on using a spray dyanamat on the inside of my doors..

i put the crossover in the trunk, with the amp. then ran 2 pairs of wires for each door

think outside the box (im kidding)

I did basically the same thing with the crossover, as for the plastic I had previously removed it to change out the window motors. I added some dynomat when I put my componets in...

You had to change the window motors. Sorry to hear that. I had to change the motor and actuator on our 97 grand am. Besides being way too expensive it was a real pita to do. I had a hard time getting my hands into the holes to srew the things back down.
