Hello to all the alero drivers.

Need some info/advice regarding a air intake resonator. It sem that mine is leaking/squirting some oil out of it. There is a thin hose coming out of the engine, and going into the air resonator right above the throttle intake. The part where the hose connect to the resonator has alwys some oil on it. It looks as if the oil is leaking out of the hose. I wipe it off once in a while and by the time I check it out again it is already all messy. Is this something I should worry about? It seems to me a bti weired that air would need oil in it. Please help and give me some advice. I read over a thread that someone had similar thing happening on a V6 where they would have oil leaking out of the air intake, it cost them Us $800 to fix it. It is scared, please help.

Is this the hose that vents your crank case? If so its totally normal to have small amounts of oil come out. Its not even close to what happens to the gaskets on the V6.

Thanks guys for your input. It is a Ecotec and it is only a small amount. I just never noticed that before and freaked out a bit. Thanks again.
