take off the speedo trim, you might need to remove the gauge cluster.

you should be able to reach it from behind. take the wire harness off of the back of it.... and give the front of it a good smack. it should pop right out.

is the harness just like a clip on harness? take that off the just push it from behind hard? or do you push it from the front and it falls backwards?

yes, just a clip harness.

the front button pulls out straight (might need to pry it out w/ a screwdriver. but the whole switch comes out from the back. you need to push the front and it'll pop out.

if your replacing it... who cares if you break it? just don't break the mount (which you shouldn't)

i just put a big screwdriver blade against one of the flat spots on the front, and hit the end. it came right out.

seriously...? mine i had to take off the piece around the gauges, then i tried pushing it thru from the front, but ended up having to take a tiny ratchet with i think 7mm socket and take out the 3 screws holding the mounting bracket to the dash from behind the dash. took me a good half hour, i dunno how u guys are doing it like that, but glad it was easier for you.

if you poke it hard enough it slides out of the bracket(towards the front bumper) then you just disconnnect the plug. the hardest part is pulling it back towards you to get it back in the bracket... and upon remembering doing this, I took out my center ac vent.
