HID help
I just bought these 8000k HIDs, the install was really easy on my left headlight,
basically plug and play
however, I go to my right headlight, and I don't see one of these
Instead, I see this
What should I do?
Should I try to pull them out and put them where it would go if there was the proper connector?

Don't mount the ballasts directly to metal. If there's no covers on the ballasts, get a sheet of plastic that you can mount between the ballast and the metal it's mounted to. Also get some plastic screws or use zip ties to fasten them. The ballasts will arc out if they touch any metal on the car.

Not really. they wont arc out. the ballast has metal brackets that holds it in place.
Just mount them anywhere, you find room.

They do arc out. I've let the ballast touch metal by accident and it sparked and blew the fuse. Maybe it's just mine, my ballasts are all metal.

All the newer ones dont arc out no more and are waterproof. These ballasts are metal as well. The eariler models back in the day HID kits, the ballast did arc out. Where u needed to buy the plastic cover box or mount on something plastic. I've installed many kits and had no single problems with the ballasts on my client's vehicles.
Like alerosaint said, It depends on the brand too.

Okay, I found 2 places, I mounted one next to my coolant, and the other one directly to the frame behind my left headlight and they're both zip-tied in
I haven't had any problems with either yet

My Hella Gen 3 ballasts definitely don't arc.

Must just be the brand. Mine are not part of any kit. They're OEM ballasts from any Nissan/Infiniti. Oh well.

My HID's are made by Sylvania & I had to insulate the Ballasts to keep them from shorting out.
