Ghadsphi is an unknown quantity at this point
I couldn't find anything legal about using lexan windows in Cali. Was kinda looking into them since the tinting laws basically say applying tint to the window(implying after it's made). Not having colored windows. Course if you're in a bad wreck and that nice guy outside is trying to save you it might not good lol.

lexan is fairly indestructable. it's far lighter that glass and is remarkably tough. they make airplane windshields out of it... as well as safety glasses... you can shoot it with a .22 rifle and it won't go through... i've done that to 1/8thi inch polycarb before...

you still didn't answer the question, yes it's weight saving, but what do you have that you think warrants the lexan glass, i can guarantee you it won't be cheap, and I would consider it a fairly hardcore modification (not skill wise, but just doing it in general)

Lexan windows, Righhhhhht. You guys can stop posting on this thread now, Jose picked up the car 3 weeks ago and there is donor car to make molds of any part at this time. If you want the parts made, drive your car to LA and have them made.

kyle, why can't you just remove the window and replace it with a lexan sheet, cut to the same size?

I have actually read threads about how to make your own lexan windows....and am seriously considering it....basically

1. take out old window
2. cut lexan to a close size
3. put lexan on top of old window
4. put in oven and let sit until lexan take shape of old window
5. trim edges accordingly
6. install

I wish i could have pulled the windows from the black coupe i took to the junkyard, but i was rushed and only took the easy and important things. I still ended up filling half the moving truck with car parts.....lol
