The gaskets actually came with it. Just get some locking header bolts and youre good to go. These headers are going on Wednesday, with some new spark plugs too.

Yea, dont worry about it. You might have to wait longer than usual, but they make quality headers. You will be VERY satisfied with them

u bolt the headers together where they merge. they come with a flex pipe that u bolt on to the back header then connect to your downpipe. in other words saw off part of the downpipe then clamp in the flex and/or weld it. or just spend the extra money and buy the s&s downpipe w/ the cat so it's all bolt on. i think i shoulda done that.

I HATE THE POSTAL SERVICE.
This is what was in my inbox earlier today.

Ed,

I just got word back from S&S about your headers. It seems that they
were damaged somehow during shipping either to Jet-Hot or back to S&S.
S&S has filed an insurance claim with the shipping service and agreed to
ship out another set of headers to be coated at their cost. They have
also refunded me the shipping charges so later today I will be issuing
you a refund of the shipping cost of the headers.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter. If you have any
questions you can call us at 847-826-0356 between 9:30am and 4:30pm
cst. or you can email me back at this address.

Regards,

Mark K. Pettersen
Owner of MP Racing

ok hey all i didnt want to make a new thread about this, but im ordering my headers tonight from MPracing and had a few questions

does it really take weeks for everyone that ordered headers to get thiers? if so i might buy a stainless stell catback in that time so it can all bolt together

i was wanting to run a tool check to install all this my self, and besides a sparkplug socket and some normal sockets are thier any specialty tools needed or precations or even heads up i should know about ahead of time so i can be prepared?

also the link cliff posted for the locking bolts just wanted to double check if those are the exact ones that will fit without a problem

Header installation really isn't that hard even from the top. It will speed things along nicely with a lift but it is not needed. Granted this is the case if everything lines up...but from what I have seen the S&S headers don't have fitment issues like the last batch of TOG's.

Yea, the guy who put my headers on said they were the nicest/best fitting headers he's ever done. No fitment issues with S&S headers, they are top of the line! (for $900 they better fit right )

99alerogirl will become famous soon enough
is there welding involved if you only get the S&S headers? or do you have to get the downpipe and high flow cat as well to avoid welding? I don't know, I think I remember reading that somewhere on here...

if u buy the headers w/o the cat like i did..., youll have to weld the flex pipe to the existing cat or just buy a new one. id just spend the extra money and get the flex/cat dealio. prob gonna need an o2 sim too. i know magna cats dont trip the SES light but i dunno bout the s&s one.
