car is hooked up but feels loose in turns

my car is a 2003 olds alero gl 2.2L. its in great shape(old lady garage kept car) i got the car with 83k, got 95k now. put a few suspension parts in to replace bad parts. lately i been getting 28-29 mpg. cars quick and fast, making traffic look slow.

the only problem is I dont have proof of a problem but it almost feels like when i go into turns(ex 60 around a slight casual turn you dont need brakes for) it almost feels like the front end is loose(nascar version of loose, like a tire wants to lift in the front). i havent had an issue yet but idk i got a gut feeling something is off. car is quick to turn as well, like i can do S turns all day. can be a problem in traffic though.(ps all stock except air intake K&N) parts replaced were swaybar coupling, right front shock, new rotors, new brakes, right side CV joint. also added grease to tie rods.

my bottom question is
how do i check my car out and make sure everything is ok?

So you only replaced the strut on ONE side? Struts need to be replaced in PAIRS, so that could be the problem. The other thing is tires. Tires can greatly affect how a vehicle handles so if they are worn, have high miles on them, or are just low grade cheap tires then that too may be a contributing factor...but also make sure the tires are properly inflated.

problem is your car is not "hooked up" it's stock.

you need a real upgraded rear sway bar and real upgraded suspension components (KYB AGX adjustable struts, stiffer springs, etc.)

choose highly rated excellent tires, they make a big difference in braking and handling in general

This thread isn't for real, is it?

The first rule of car care is that certain things need to be replaced in pairs, Shocks are on that list.

Your car is not "hooked up" and is not a race car by any means. Just because you have a heavy foot, doesn't make it fast.

There are quite a few cars on here that are "hooked up" and we don't drive insanly to prove it

ok i got the message, im gonna get a left front shock and get it aligned.
im sorry i came off a little over the top i just love my alero. i just came off a hand me down, piece of shit pontiac grand prix with 185K miles and like every part in crap condition. this car is in really good condition, i know its not a race car, its just a really nice ride.

ps, what are your opinions on STP high mileage 75K+ oil additive? i was thinking of adding it. my current motor oil is Valvoline MAX high mileage.

Get on eBay and buy a full set of quick struts all around. Dirt cheap and just bolt them on. Otherwise, post pics of your ride and refrain from using terms like "hooked up" to keep from sounding retarded... That

There are tons of oil additives out there. I remember way back in the late 80's seeing a real test done on NYC cabs. All had the same milage, and the one actually blew the engine because the additive made the oil so thick in the wintertime, it couldn't pass thru the ports quick enough. I'm sure they have come a long way and people are still buying them, but if it's one of my cars (or cars in my care) it's not getting an oil additive. Just my $.02
