Adding a screen under the radio
Who here has done it and lets see some pictures.
Im about to buy a screen and Im thinking of putting it under the controls or modding the whole area. Putting my deck down lower, screen high with controls under the screen.
Just a little baffled because the shifter bezel extends to where I would like to go...
BTW, I hate fiberglass!

2fts4u's version. Dunno whatever happened to the guy. I know he was in the military, and it was supposed to get boosted but never seemed to get it put on... he just disappeared. Edit: Looks like he was on sparingly in 2008.

Ion, isn't there a problem with the "vacuum" there is in the buttons?

probably, i have no idea how the dials actually work lol. they make a pshh sound when you change them, so they're vacuum operated, but i don't know if that's an electrical switch relaying from the button to whatever actuates it or the button actually actuates the change.

Ah, Ion got it.. 2fst4u, NOT Mr. White. I'll edit my post lol owned.
there are vacuum lines running directly into the HVAC unit.. you'd have to rig up an electronic switch that operates a vacuum switch for them to work properly.

Ya that was my concern, it looks like its the button by the way it is making the "pssshh"

IIRC the direction adjuster runs on vacuum too, doesn't it? (down, up, defrost, etc)

Ryan, is that screen you are talking about a touchscreen? I'm looking for a touchscreen that is just a wee bit smaller than the Lilliput 629. I can probably make the 629 work for what I want to do, but a slightly smaller screen would be perfect. I just haven't found any smaller ones that are touchscreen.
