i did my passanger floor led tube while listening to dane cooks 2 cds.
i used a bunch of 4700uf... i think. i didn't count how many. i just did some math and figured it out. i think i calculated slightly more then 1F of power for the 100 or so leds i have.... to have ~2-3 sec fade out.
breadboard, you can get from any radioshack, pretty cheap.

jose, i know your looking to do the needles, and i'll give ya a few tips here.
1) a drill press would GREATLY help, instead of by hand, like i tried.
2) get some good bits
3) measure. measure. MEASURE!
i attempted to do my needles in two color and killed it, because i was attempting by hand, and hadn't premeasured correctly. so, it didn't work well.
and last time i checked, yalero botched the 3rd brake, somewhere in the wiring (things kept shorting) and the needles got done (hence the pics)

ye there was a short in the 3rd brake light. so I whent with cold cathodes instead. ( pm me if interested in some cold cathode lights I got a good price on them. all colors R,BL,GR,PRP,YEL,WHT,UV )
installed
the needles are done :
i did make 6.5 door pods have them installed but still need to be covered :
I also put exhaust (2.5" pipe from motor thru muffler ). high flow cat, taylor wires autolight plugs.
any questions on the stuff I did let me know I will try and help the best way I can.

Just found this post, all I have to say is wicked man, very very nice. I have always wanted to do my needles like that. Although, when I had the halo gauges on mine, I messed up during the install and really messed with my needle placement, never knew when I was going to run out of gas and my speedometer was off. So I just bought a new cluster to fix it.
I put LEDs in the cluster, blue like yours, but I would really like to add a red color like that...again very nicely done. If you ever decide to sell them...you have a buyer

This would be your best bet if you are unfamiliar with taking apart your cluster. Check it out, although expensive, you can do just about anything you want: http://www.speedhut.com/custom_gauge..._number-16.htm

I'm pretty sure with that kit, you can tap into the original wiring, and just use that compared to the gay controller they give you.
