Daytona is on a distinguished road
How many miles are on her? And was the motor stock or did you do some work previously to her?

Yea... you need to give some more information... "it died" could mean 1000's of dollars... or it could mean a blown fuse... info required

ok well i've got good news and i've got bad news.

good news:
i got her running again and fixed my lower intake leak.

bad news:
my uncle thinks i have a rod bearing(right spelling?) that needs replacing.
so right now it has a little knock in it.

so my question, how hard will that be to replace. i was thinking i could just drain my oil out of the oil pan, remove it and replace it that a way. would that be correct or will i have to tear the whole engine down again. someone let me know.

You may be able to get away with just changing the rod berring.. however most likely its too far gone for that.
USUALLY when something like this happens the main berrings go as well, so what you want to do, or what i would do in your case is get the engine rebuilt... now its gunna cost more to get a reman, then it is to get a good used motor... you would prolly want to get a used 3.4 outta the scapyards. because if you had enuff coolant in the oil to mess up a rod berring, (im assuming thats what has happened) then the main berrings arent too far away from going....
