I don't want too break the bank, so I'm kind of doing a budjet system. I have a JVC KD-LX50 headunit, a MMATS D-200hc amp and a single 12" Kicker L7 in a sealed box. I'm planning on buying a 2nd 12" L7 and ported box. Probley replace all the factory speakers with some Kickers also. Do y'all think that would sound good in a 2000 Alero GLS Coupe ??? I'd love too have some TREO's, but they're out of my price range at the time. TREO's I would really like too have some TREO's. Oh well, someday.

Only thing is I already have one 12" Kicker L7. I was thinking of picking up a second one off Ebay. Kicker isn't my first choice either. I bought the single L7 for our last daily driver because of limited trunk space. It did okay, but 1 sub just doesn't do it for me.

It'll just be till I can afford the TREO's I want. Well, with my bills, that could be a couple of years, LOL.

A local shop quotes me for $500 dollars just for the middle line Treo's, about $1000 for the top line.

I can belive it. I plan on the SSI 12.22's I'd like a set of SSX 12.22's but they're out of my price range.

Dude. No sub is worth that kind of money. Even with my 65 percent discount the eclipse pro subs are 6 bills. I can think of alot of things I could sink that money into. by the way. I like the farscape sig. It is a shame sci-fi canned it.

no JL 12" is worth 750 either, or any sub worth 1000. check out mtx 9500's, they blow the w7 and L7 away, in sq and spl, and price. 599 a piece, expensive, but better than the compettion. or the 8500.

ive heard 2 mtx 5500's in a sledgehammer box, for 2 $150 subs, that was the loudest ive ever heard (in its price range...)

at my brothers shop, they had the JL and the mtx demo vehicles out there, needless to say he sells MTX instead of JL.

im hooking up a single 12" 5500dvc mtx right now

i dont get why everyone is on TREO's nuts either, way overpriced.

of course its a decent product.....jl charges a arm and a leg for there stuff

both the mtx and the jl vehicles were at the shop, mtx blew jl away. compare dollar for dollar and mtx makes a better product by far in my opinion. you cant compare jl'l top of the line to mtx's middle line. in every review ive seen the 9500's met or exceeded the w7's, and there alot cheaper.

of course a 750 sub is going to be a aweseome sub, but you can spend less and get more.

JL has a good name, rockford used to have a good name too, JL's not slipping as fast and bad as rockford did though.

all im saying is ya, treo/jl make some awesome stuff, but you dont need to spend that much to get those results

I've kinda got the hook up on the Treo's cause I know some of the people on the design team. Sorry, but I can't hook anyone else up. But I'll have a pair of 12" Treo SSX in the Alero next summer when I move back to Omaha, Ne. (Where Treo's are made).
