Should be fine with a super turbo... It's #17670 for the 3" dual outlet style.

if you are talking about about exiting in front of the rear wheels you are really gonna have very little space, trust me i know....but when going all the way to the rear, cutting out the spare wheel and gas tank really frees up a ton of space!!!

I took it out for measurements, back in until i get my aftermarket fuel pump, eventually 10gal fuel cell, with fill door behind one of the taillights so I can shave the stock fuel door

power wise.....i had the tranny built for 500whp daily driven, and the motor built for consistent 18-22psi

Niiiiiiiiiice.I have to admit that you, blackjack and ion are 3 of my favorite aleros.....because you build for POWER Its always nice to have a good looking alero, but having an alero that will smoke 90% of the cars on the road.......cant get any better than that

Opinions?
The 3" exhaust without a turbo will be loud. After the turbo it will get a little quieter, but it won't be anywhere near stock. With that said you have to decide what's more important, having the most quiet exhaust you can get, or having an exhaust built for the least amount of backpressure and restriction and having the greatest amount of flow.

The best mufflers to use are straight through type, like Magnaflows. You can use as many as you can fit under the car and it'll keep the sound tollerable. Also, get the largest muffler that can fit where it needs to go and that will help keep the sound down. When it's all said and done, you'll be able to hear the exhaust, but it won't be unbearably loud.

If quiet is what you're after, don't even bother with a side exit before the rear tires. There'll barely be room for 1 muffler and it'll be pretty loud.

I personally don't like the Super Turbo muffler that Ion has, but that's just my opinion. The exhaust has to make a 90° turn into the muffler, then a hard 90° once it's inside the muffler case, and then splits into 2 pipes and both of those make hard 90°'s before they even come out of the case. It will flow better to have a muffler mounted longitudinally and have the exhaust come in the front, straight through the case and out the back with zero restriction. Yes, this will make the exhaust a little louder than the Super Turbo style muffer, but it'll flow better.

This is how my exhaust will be. It's similar to this right now, but with smaller mufflers and resonators so it's a little louder than I like.

Engines aren't built for certain boost pressures...

Let's see you push 18-22psi from a GT5533R through that engine and see if it's really built for that much boost

i say 18-22psi because i lost my CFM calculations in the move (which blows because i had to pull up some math skills that i thought were lost several hundred 12 packs ago and now i gotta do it again) and the whipple maxes out at 22psi......

give me the turbo setup and i will gladly do that for you

BTW.....where is your ecotec build at right now?

In pieces, like it has been forever. I've been spending too much money on the new car and haven't even touched the Alero.

I'm not real sure what I want to do with it at this point...
