Window won't roll up

So I've had this issue for a while.
While it was still icy, I was trying to roll down my window. Something snapped, I don't know what, but as time has progressed, it has completely stopped my ability to roll my window up.

The Aleroracing question would be "Nick, why were you trying to roll down your window, when you knew it was still icy out?"
"Well everyone, I was pulled over by a state trooper for my tints, and was trying to get my windows down so I couldn't be ticketed for them, and snapped something in the process.

Lesson, keep the tint light, no broken window parts.

So this leads to my question, what needs to be replaced? Does this have anything to do with the stickied thread "window falling issue fixed" ?
Need any more info just ask.
Thanks all.

Well then i'm not familar with those so all i can say is take the door panel off and try and find whats broke and replace it.

Edit: i looked it up and manual crank windows still have a regulator so take a look at that, it most likely needs to be replaced, If you dont feel like spending money you could rig it to neither go up or down by sticking some paint stiring sticks in their.

Yeah, I remember having problems rolling up my windows when I drove my 2000 Impala...it was definitely the regulator - it's about a $350 cost for part and install (at least for my Impala it was).

if something snappes its probably thoes arm things, I dont know the technical name for them, but they look like a butterfly. or possably the gears for your crank broke off.

How would there be a regulator for a manual window. It wouldnt need one because your arm would act as the regulator.

The only difference between the power window and manual crank is the power window has a motor on the manual its a hand crank but it still has the same internals(regulator)

Edit: that butterfly thing is the regulator
