Seat questions
So, its no secret that the stock seats suck. Very uncomforitible for me. I'm about 6' and 135lbs. Now I'm looking for something that will give good support during cornering. Not leather. And something that I can attach a harness to. And I'm only looking for the drivers side atm. I don't want anything fancy or uber expensive either...
What kind of modifications are involved in swapping seats?
Any suggestions?

Jeebus, you must be really frickin' skinny. So you'll fit in just about anything.
Check E-bay; you can usually find some decent deals there for not a lot of dough. Personally, I couldn't buy seats without auditioning (sitting in) them first.
Most aftermarkey "sport" seats will accept a 4-point harness, but you usually have to look to higher-dollar seats to get a sub-belt hole.
And harnesses must anchor to a harness bar/roll cage, not the seat itself or the floor.

No your stock seatbelt would be fine. However if you don't put in a roll bar I would not reccoment a fixed back seat as if you were ever to roll over your car it could have less than friendly results.

Yeah I'm not a fan of fixed back seats anyways.
Anybody have seat suggestions?

$400 is a medium low price. A lot of high end seats are $700 plus and only go up from there.
For $200 its either gonna be a used medium range seat (such as mine, but used) or its gonna be a cheap ass seat that will be comfortable for 3-6months then break down and be a really shitty seat.

No, its a very important part of a car, and driver safety so you don't want to cheap out.
Another option would be to get a factory recaro out of a cobalt ss, or mitsu evo. They don't have quite as much side bolster but are still really nice.

I think that's been asked before. W Body seats are too wide.
Grand Am seats should swap in pretty easy
