Front strut bar.....does it work
I am going to get the front strut bar off pfyc and i wanted to ask the people who have them, do you notice a difference??? I am going to get the rear one too, thats another time though, once i get the subs out of the trunk i will buy the rear one.
But will i notice any difference with the front one?

I bought em both and noticed it felt tighter in the steering rounding a corner. It's not 'amazing' or anything but I liked them a lot. I had a huge box in the back and the rear still cleared no problem.

i have both, the rear one is a PITA to get it to fit right. i have a huge sub box myself and it is geometrically impossible to remove the box with the strut bar in there. nice anti-theft feature.
and yes they do help. what i noticed is that after i take a turn i have to turn the wheel back to go straight. i feel like i have more control over the steering.

if you are going to think like that then you shouldnt put stiffer springs on either.

Yep, I couldn't believe how bad the car handled when I took both strut bars off.

thats like comparing apples to oranges. your not tieing the body structure together with springs

either way a strut bar is actually beneficial to a unibody, your arguement is bs.

Then why do some cars come with them from the factory?

^^ Probably as a performance option, or to save money so they don't have to build the frame / engine brace as strong to handle the toqure

Im debating wether i should get an Optima yellow top or strut bar for the car with my money....i have around $200 to spend. I do need a new battery but its not urgent, and a strut bar would be nice

save up money and get both you know you wanna...
anyways i got one and before i used to take curves going 25 now i take em going 143mph... eh ok maybe not but i guess it helps, i honestly dont remember what it was like without it. i do take the "dead mans turn" on LSD in chicago going the regular limit 40-45 and not the curve limit of 25, but then i have the stb and stiffer springs

eh it made a lil difference. id say on a scale of 1-10, it was a 2, and the lowering springs were a 5
