Question 2002 2.2 Ecotec L61 Supercharg modification Questions

I am a new member and this is my first post. I have a 2002 Ecotec engine and I am wondering about swapping plenums with a supercharged 2.0 I have read and seen the 2003 2.2 ecotecs in the junkyard and how the 2002 2.2 and 2003 2.2 L61 engines have different fuel rails and injectors. The 2003 is calibrated differently because, the 2002 is made to work with cruise control and air conditioning. So this brings me to my questions.

Can i go ahead and swap out a 2.0 s/c plenum with my 2002 l61 and not worry about air conditioning and cruise control? I don't need either.

Can i still have heater and defoggers?

You should be fine Vic28 did an M62 swap from the LSJ in the Balt you're going to need a tb adaptor plate. You can find way more info on this swap on ecotecforum.com

OK I was confused thinking that you wanted to swap a LSJ(the whole motor) to the alero, I dont see that being possible without major fabs skillz and lots of reading in ecotecforum and j-body.org first understanding our platform. So if you trying to get an M62 charger swap into the L61 here is some background.

Anywaz from your first post: Our injectors and fuel rail on a n-body never changed, they did on the j-bodies tho. AbHeLlRaZoR can post a picture of his engine bay, ill post one from my 02 alero and my 05 grand am swap motor, all the same.
A/C shouldnt be an issue, I dont see how you relate that with the injectors or what not. Cruise control should work if you get the GMPP kit cause it come with a Cruise control cable(think they longer) but that settup for j-bodies location and length, I didnt bother with mine. There is a few available as of right now, this been discountinued by GMPP, but crateenginedepot are selling the last ones they had in storage.

If you swap everything from a cobalt(lsj), you have to use their injectors they work fine with our stock fuel rail, you gonna read online that you need an 02 fuel rail to be able to use the stock cobalt injectors but thats on j-bodies cause they change them like you said before, but we are already set. Our IAT and MAP becomes one= TMAP, its a 2.5 bar map.
Check that out http://paceperformance.com/paceperfo...rgermanual.pdf
The main question should be, how would you be tuning you car. If you dont find a perfomance shop that works with HPTuners that are able to tune all this to make it work, I wouldnt attempt all this.

Don't forget the need of having a wideband air/fuel ratio gauge and boost gauge to assist those who are tuning.

I wouldn't call it "domestic ricer" especially with the ecotec engine...
