My Alero thread

I have no idea where this journey is going to take me, but I'm pretty sure it'll be fun.

Anyways, here's my stock 2002 Alero. Plans for the future are a little unclear, but I know I'm going to install a new intake.

Very similar to my car. While it is your car, please no on the hood pins. They dont look good on an alero, and the only one I have seen with them was a racecar ( not sure what class it was in). It was caged and gutted. I only saw it because it was at the shop down the street getting a new motor.

Yea, the more I look around, nothing really seems to fit to my liking, thought there might be a style that could fit but I'm just not feeling it.

Love the color. Mine is gold as well. I'm going with a gold and white theme. II think they go well together.

put hot sink water in a bowl, slapped into the microwave on high for 1min 30sec, got a foam paint brush and applied the water to the dealer sticker so it came off easier. Found some remains of other stickers that were on even before that. Put on some scratch remover and voila. No more sticker/sticker remains and no paint damage.

From his profile pic his looks the same as mine which is the dark bronze mist....

Your car looks to be in great shape and should give you plenty of years of happy modding!

I like! Those single piece ones look really clean, as does your engine bay.

Oh, and as we took out the stock filter box...yikes. i'm glad i installed that air intake. Tons of rust underneath, and rust on the brake lines and other piping...quickly took care of that issue before installing the new intake.

And a tube on the old air intake was cracked.

yay updates

cleaned up the muffler tip.

LEDs

and black pinstripes, which look outstanding.

since i've gotten all of my my minor appearance mods out of the way (except for clear corners), it's time to start building the new exhaust system. will post when i can.
