14.19 N/a Grand Am *NEW PICS*

So just got back from the track and my buddy with the naturally aspirated Grand Am I reffered to in this post ran a 14.19! We couldn't belive it. He started the day off with a 14.44 and just kept getting faster and faster. He now has the fastest non-boost/non-NOS grand am on GAGT and possibly anywhere. It is crazy.

The two boosted grand ams only ran a 14.33 (3400 V6) and 15.30 (2.2L ecotec, car still seems to slow)

Anywho, I ran a PB of 15.19, here is my slip, please ignore me sleeping at the tree.

I forgot to add, my favourite run of the night was this run against a 5.0L Mustang with at least an exhaust if not more mods. Here is a pic of us lining up. I owned the 5.0L mustang with my basically stock V6 Camaro!

He also just dynoed his car. It is putting IIRC 205HP to the wheels and 200lb-ft.

Its weird because the S/C Grand Am in our club was dynoed and put 220HP to the wheels, yet only ran a 14.33 in the 1/4 mile. It is an SE so maybe gearing has something to do with it.

THAT GRAND AM GT IS PRETTY SWEET. I'M NOT SAYING YOUR BULL poopIN, BUT A 5.0 MUSTANG RUNNING LOW 15'S, WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT?

5.slow.... it takes alot of work to make them fast.

Yup, a stock 1991 Mustang 5.0L only came with around 200HP (just like my V6) the only difference is the have a lot more torque.

Look at his 60ft, he was spinning his tires with all that torque on skinny tires.

well maybe stock they were slow. i'm just used to seeing my cousins 93 with 500 plus hp and my sisters 89 with well above 300

Check out Grandsontario.com. We are having our big race day with trophies and classes etc.

It is August 13th, and you would qualify for the 4cyl class because your car is an N body.
Last year I came 3rd in the class (only the top 2 get trophies

issed: ) with a 15.51 compared to a 1993 QUAD4 H.O. with a 15.50, and a 1992 QUAD4 H.O. with a 15.33. It was a hot humid day.

Anyway, I don't get to compete this year
