To be honest I didn't have any rivots on my front license plate, matter of fact that's the first time I have ever heard of that. Here they just screw it to the bumper, and some people just drill holes in it and put anchors for the screws. Sorry for interupting but thanks for clearing that up.

im now thinking of cutting the fron emblem oval out putting tinted plexy behind it and leds so it glows
if I cant remove it mod it !!!

who was saying that on the 2000 Alero there was only glue behind the logos? I wanted to take the Alero and Oldsmobile lettering off of the back(not the Olds Logo, just the letters)
how would i go about that?

easy, just heat it up a bit, pull them off then use some kind of citrus cleaner, goo-gone. to remove the glue...looks 100 times better with out them. thats what i did to the back side of my car...next is the front plate that people have talked about on page 2...

do our cars really look better without them?? i have been wanting to do those also but i am waiting for some warmer air to come thru CT. are they held on the same as the emblems?? with the black sticky glue/tape?? and is the car under the molding already painted or will i have to have the area under the molding painted the same color as the car?
